About the museum

A museum without walls

The Pembrokeshire Virtual Museum brings the county's archaeology, history and heritage together online, open to anyone, anywhere, at any time.

Pembrokeshire's story is spread across hilltops, beaches, castles and archives. A virtual museum lets us bring it into one place.

Our galleries guide you through more than ten thousand years of the county's past, from the drowned forests of the Mesolithic to the shipyards of Pembroke Dock. Each exhibit links the story to real places you can visit.

The museum is a growing collection. We welcome corrections, local knowledge and contributions from people who know and love the county.
