Pembrokeshire Virtual Museum goes live
On Tuesday 15th August, radio presenter Roy Noble officially launched the Pembrokeshire Virtual Museum at the Pembrokeshire County Show.
The unveiling has been warmly welcomed by the Minister for Enterprise, Innovations and Networks, Andrew Davies.
He commented: "It comes hard on the heels of the opening of a new information centre in Tenby, and will further assist us to present Pembrokeshire's heritage in an exciting way to local people and potential tourists alike."
The Pembrokeshire Virtual Museum was launched on the opening day of the County Show by Radio Wales presenter Roy Noble, whose grandparents hail from Tenby.
The launch does not mark the end, but rather the beginning of what is a truly fascinating initiative. The aim is to continuously develop and expand the website into a complete and comprehensive resource that will be accessed by millions.
To do this it needs help. Said project manager, Owen Roberts: "If you have any photographs, postcards or any other items that are significant to the heritage of the County, please get in touch.
"We are also looking for people who are willing to share their knowledge and memories by contributing articles for the website."
