Places to Visit

In Places to Visit you will find information about the historical attractions within the county, including over 50 historic castles and forts. As well as some of the popular tourist spots. Choose an area that you would like to visit. Each area has a sub-section with detailed information about the counties attractions and places of interest.

Once you have selected a section you will then find a menu of attractions and this is where it becomes interesting!

With each attraction you will find photographs, a short history, if it is relevant, opening times, address and telephone number, plus a short description of how to get there and available local transport.
